Philosophy

We like our websites simple, slick and fast. You won't find too much in the way of widgets and gizmos here. We consciously avoid making our sites dependent on any particular platform; this should all work just as happily on a BSD Unix system as on a Microsoft box. (If not, please yell.)

Navigation

All browsers have a "back" key. We figure you probably know how to use it. Therefore we don't have a fancy navigation structure; everything is indexed on the main page, and that's it. Use the "back" key to back out of the structure, or click on the picture at the top of each page, or on the link at the foot of each page, to return to the site's home page.

Feedback

On the other hand maybe you would prefer lots of bells and whistles. Let us know what you like, what you hate, and what you'd like to see added.

History

The history of the site so far:

Prehistory: There was once a website... but I'm not clear on the details ;).
17 January 2003: brand new site on the fivetrees system. Not much more than a placeholder.
19 May 2003: finally - most of the site is there, including the online shop. Gig dates and reviews still to come.
2 January 2004: Made the new dates page dynamic - i.e. it's now driven from the main fivetrees listings database. (This means future updates will be automated.) General spring-clean.
22 February 2006: updated the online shop to use the new fivetrees shopping mall.
